Elmham

Situated just outside North Elmham on the road to Worthing, this lake offers a full countryside retreat for those wishing to truly get away from the "public"
Crossing a field to reach the lake is a 2 minute walk that will bring you into a fully woodland surrounded wild lake, fed by inlets from the river Wensum.
The lake has a wide selection of fish, from surface cruising carp, through to tench, roach, pike and perch.
This lake can be fished on day tickets.
Bait and Tips:
Due to its wide range of species, bait is usually species dependant allowing you to target desired species.
The large head of silverfish in the lake might require some advanced techniques to "break through" them to the larger tench or carp.
At the far end of the lake an inlet brings in a constant supply of water and nutrients, its a usually place to spot the carp cruising the surface and the tench bubbling.
There are a fair number of Pike in the lake, from small jack's up to at least a couple of double figure fish. Dead bait and plugs/lure work well for an afternoon of fun hooking into the predators.
The lake, being fully surrounded by trees, has a heavy covering of leaf litter on its bottom, fishing just off the bottom or raking a swim are good techniques to consider.
